The Millstone Peated American Oak is a peated Dutch single malt whisky from Zuidam Distillers. It’s made from peated barley (50 PPM) and matured in American oak barrels.
The first impression on the nose is of a subtle smokiness and surprising freshness. This develops into the citrus and tropical fruitiness with vanilla, coconut and a hint of spices. The palate is fruity and elegant smoke aromas with a rich honey sweetness, delicate spicy notes and it develops into bitter oranges and chocolate. A medium long and pleasant finish with peat smoke, orange and oak spices.
